Believer, Engineer, Musician, Amateur Photographer.

I've done some semiprofessional photo work in my hay day, but on actual film with an all-manual Minolta XG-7. Those were the days, waiting a week for the film to be developed and no way to make exposure adjustments. I really discovered digital with a Canon SL1 that I purchased in 2016 when my kids got into sports, dance, and music. There is a whole world to explore. I am drawn to people, especially if they don't know that I am photographing them and have recently gotten into the world of macro photography using less expensive reversing rings (great use for my old manual lens!) and extension tubes. I've graduated to a full-frame Canon 5D Mark IV and am building my arsenal of studio lighting for doing some part-time portrait shooting. I love traveling and as my mentor and uncle tells me, "It helps to take great photos if you go to great places!" There is, however, a whole world of "cool places" that can be found on the kitchen counter at the end of my macro lens. Just keep shooting!
