My name is Laurel Boulton. I grew up in Alabama, in the countryside, so I’ve found that I’m quite fond of nature scenes, which tends to show up in my photography. I like to look for beautiful subjects created by nature: leaves, rain, and animals. I’m a graphic design student and an artist, and I like to take photographs of art as well. My favorite medium is probably charcoal, even though it’s quite messy. I would like to think that my experience in graphic design changes my perspective when it comes to composing photos: I try to think of it not only as a future photographer, but as a future designer. I love almost all animals, and I imagine that my cat will star frequently in my photographs. I enjoy video games, cooking, drawing, and music, but my main hobby is creative writing, a hobby that my husband and I share. We enjoy weaving stories together and making our own worlds and writing about them. My husband is one of the cornerstones of my life, my best friend, and my partner. I don’t have a lot of experience in photography, but I hope I can get a good enough handle on the medium so that my character comes through in the shots I take.
