I am a Fiftyteen (aka fifty) years young amateur photographer originally from Portland, Maine, but I currently reside in Clayton, North Carolina. I love being outside and photographing nature and landscapes, but as long as I have my camera I will shoot anything.

For me photography has been a part of my life since I was a young boy. As a young boy I was always grabbing my father’s camera and shooting pictures. My father was always the photographer of the family and he is the one that pass down to me my eye for photography. It wasn’t until June 10, 1989 that I truly got my very own camera, the Pentax K1000. Since that day I have pretty much been shooting non-stop and I have learned that when I have my camera in my hand I have totally serenity and I am at peace with the world. I always have my camera with me and ready for the next perfect shot.

Favorite Photography Moment

One of my favorite photography moments, was when I was photographing the American Black Bears in The Great Smoky Mountains. Watching and photographing how the mother bears interact with their cubs is such a beautiful and heartwarming thing to see. These are pictures that I can always look back on and they always bring a smile to my face and give me a warm feeling in my heart.
