After years shooting and thousands( and thousands) of photos I was looking at a new way to challenge myself . I had done landscape,seascape,urban,macro,night,light paint,models,wedding,action,urban,toys,tons of nature ( flowers trees bugs animals ect ect ).Tons of hiking into beautiful places and trying new things,shot manual for 3 years creating all my own compositions learning lots along the way. This was not enough for my creative mind ..so I started to build backgrounds in my garage had alot of fun and learned alot about lighting and darkness. One day I thought to myself I have over 200 000 photos on my hard drive taken over a 10 year span why not work with what I have. The juices started to flow ... taking some of my beloved images and mixing them in a somewhat cohesive way proved to be more challenging then I originally thought . Matching backgrounds and foregrounds not as easy as it sounds with each composite taking hours and hours to create, to the point that I realized that dismissing a photo on the basis it was "photo shopped " was absurd . I started to see the real beauty and craftsmanship in peoples composites understanding the work that must have gone into them, loving the attention to detail and the imaginative mind required !!!
