September 9, 2022 (the greenie) I started using a real camera, my first. That camera was a Sony A7III with the Sony 200-600 f5.6-6.3 lens. Currently, I use a Canon R5 and/or 1DX and their associated lenses. Most of the time I use either the RF 100-500 or the EF 600 F4 IS.
I started in photography with a digiscoping set-up. I initially fumbled around with an old Bushnell Sentry, but truly got started with a great Zeiss Diascope 85 t*fl spotting scope. That scope really got me into the hobby. Around January 08, 2021 I switched to a Kowa TSN-883 Prominar spotter. I used this scope until switching to Swarovski a year or two later. Gear-acquisition-syndrome was a problem, but has mostly been eliminated.
Digiscoping is using a scope combined with my cell phone for photos. I preferred the Samsung S21 Ultra, but I switched to an iPhone 13 Pro Max due to pressure from my kids, wife, and other family LOL. This propelled me into diving into real cameras. I used the Phoneskope brand adapter while using my phone on the scope, and it worked very well. #kowascoping #phoneskope. I added the Digidapter by Paul Sayegh in September 2022. I bought the previously mentioned Sony with the intention of using it to continue digiscoping. However, I ended up selling my Swarovski to fund buying dedicated lenses instead. I still have my Digidapter, but no longer have the scope. So, it is all downhill from here. www.phoneskope.com/ digiscopeadapter.com/
