2006 Southern Cross Scout Unit was founded on 5th June, 1958 in St Gabriel's Secondary School under the name 62nd St Gabriel's Scouts Group by Mr Francis Khoo and Mr Francis Sim, then teachers of St Gabriel's Secondary School.

Presently, our Unit consists of the Scout Troop, Venture Unit as well as the Rover Crew. Our Unit has been consistently achieving the Gold standard for the Scouts and Venture sections and the Silver standard for the Rover section.
