I started photography in January 2017 with a Canon AE-1 Program. I'm not necessarily a film purist, but I do like vintage things, and an old film SLR was more inline with my budget, so I went with that. Besides, the camera itself is pretty decent, and the Canon FD lenses are an excellent value for the price. While I don't have the ability to "learn instantly" as I would from a DSLR, I do take notes on photos and then study them to learn what effect the settings had.

I think my Photostream shows an improving photographer. Initially I was just trying to get an understanding of exposure settings. As a result, my pictures often lacked a proper subject. I guess you could say that I am now in stage two. I have a good sense of my settings, and I'm now trying to figure out how to take an interesting picture of a subject.

Any suggestions on how I can improve are greatly welcomed.
