Thank you for your visits and kind comments! My Grandfather gave me my first camera; the start of my lifelong fascination of photography. I worked as a cardiac/critical care nurse, then coordinated 39 international humanitarian surgical teams/trips to provide ~1,260 facial reconstructive surgeries. These travels helped me capture images of the "human spirit" and the impact of compassion shown to those with great needs.

 

For a time, I lost the ability to see in color, peripherally, and at night. Weeks later, thank God, the rods and cones in my eyes healed and my normal vision returned! Now I almost "hunger" for color. And vibrant depictions are elements of my favorite photos. To me, color symbolizes fullness of life. Sight is such a cherished gift!
