Dating my D750, married to my Nikon AF DC-NIKKOR 135mm f/2 C. Retired but not expired. Seasoned, but still have a sharp eye for the beautiful things in this world. I think the search for beauty is a very valid occupation. What a long strange trip it's been. In 1986 my best friend and I went into the High Desert near Victorville, California and he had all the needed research to see Halley's Comet, sure enough it came in front of us as a small streaking fuzz ball not too fast and not too slow.(Thanks Tom that was one of the greatest moments of my life). Now that I am a photographer, I have been lucky and photographed COMET NEOWISE(July 2020) and just recently C/2022 E3 ZTF(February 2023) and in 10/2024 the long tailed comet C2023 A3. Are the captures I have of these three comets pro shots? No, I'm just an average guy with average equipment and love the process of setting up, all the research and the thrill of getting a capture of something that won't be seen for another 50,000 years as is the case with "The Green Comet" C/2022 E3 ZTF and I think COMET NEOWISE will be back around something like 6,800 years. Thanks to everyone that has looked at, commented and faved my photos. Very humbled for the friends I have made here at Flickr!
