Tibet Spiritual Tour is owned and managed by Tenzin Dhondup - also known locally in Lhasa

as MC Tenzin.Tenzin Dhondup was born in the small village of Basum, around 30km beneath the mighty North Face of Mt Everest.

Tenzin Dhondup has started his tourism carrier by working at Mount Everest North Face Base Camp in tent hotel "Hotel California" from 2003 to 2004. Tent hotel provided basic beds and hot meals and tea to trekkers and people taking the overland route from Lhasa. He also worked as a tour guide and porter for climbers going to the North Face Advance Base Camp on Everest at an elevation of 6500 meters.

In 2005, Tenzin Dhondup had relocated to Lhasa where he worked as a tour guide. He led groups to all regions of Tibet and has completed the pilgrimage circuit of Mt Kailash 5 times, something that he feel very blessed to have done.He guided clients from across the globe while showing them the beauty of his homeland Tibet.

During his time as a tour guide, he had developed a deep love for music writing. he can still remember the days when he was sitting in a small guesthouse near Mt Kailash lit by candle light, before the days of electricity, and writing song lyrics in a small pieces of paper. The lyrics he wrote were mostly about his personal feelings, about his life and the people around him. After nearly 5 years of continual practice and song writing, he released his own hip-hop album….the very first Tibetan in Tibet to do so ! Videos can be found on YouTube by searching for “MC Tenzin”. In 2006, Tenzin Dhondup had started working for a local Tibetan travel agency in Lhasa for nearly 12 years as a sales manager and as a itinerary developer, based on his experience in traveling across Tibet. Recent few years he is also learning Tibetan Buddhism and meditation, with more then a decade experience and knowledge of Tourism in Tibet, "Tibet Spiritual Tour" is founded.

Tibet Spiritual Tour has the mission of preserving the local culture and environment while offering well-run, professional journeys in Tibet. Giving jobs to local Tibetans and putting our clients in Tibetan-owned hotels so that the bulk of clients tourism money goes directly to local people.
