Alain got his first camera at the age of 13. This all-manual Yashica SLR, matched to a 50mm prime lens and a shoddy telephoto zoom, accompanied him over the next few years and kindled an interest in photography that has never completely died out. Today, his focus lies with street photography. The confusion and disarray of daily life conveyed by this art form provides an ideal antipode to his job as an IT professional and is the reason why he spends more and more time on the prowl for new pictures. When asked for his main sources of inspiration, he will name the ever-present Henri Cartier-Bresson, the prolific Vivian Maier, and the genius of Saul Leiter.
