Hello - , nice you drop in and have an interest in me and my pictures:

 

Railway employee by profession(fourth generation), now retired, grown up with steam in the 50s with a photographing father who tought me the basics of photography, developing films and dark room work.

But it wasn´t until the late 1960s that I could start photographing myself with - halfways - a useful camera. The very last years of German steam were more or less captured, but many places weren´t visited then that should have been preferred to the fifth time of visiting the Emsland... But I won´t complain. The 80s brought along great times of photographing in Switzerland well into the early 90s.

The early 2000s then were the step into digital photography with many Nikon cameras since; from D80 to D300, D700, D800, D750, D500 and Z6,

alongside with a Sony A9, which System I have dispensed of recently in favour of the Canon-R-System.

Working with photoshop still has an impact for me.

 

Though the heavyweight of my portfolio surely is in railway photography, I always try to train the eye on other subjects, such as architecture, special lighting, night scenes or charming scenery... comments always highly appreciated.

Noch etwas, aus gegebenem Anlass: Leider gibt es hier viele User, die Bilder in Massen favorisieren, selbst ihre Bilder nicht öffentlich zeigen und niemals einen Kommentar hinterlassen.
