I've had this page on Flickr for 8 years and it's almost that long since I told my wife with fear and anxiety that I actually wanted to be a woman rather than a man. She dealt with it very lovingly and sensitively, although she has no freedom to actively support me in my "being a woman". For me, that means on the one hand that I don't need to hide myself and my now impressive amount of clothing, on the other hand I can only be complete as a woman when she's not at home. It's a shame, but since she's very important to me, I accepted it.

Ich habe diese Seite auf Flickr seit 8 Jahren und es ist fast genau solange her, dass ich meiner Frau voller Angst und Sorge gesagt habe, dass ich eigentlich viel lieber eine Frau als ein Mann sein würde. Sie ist sehr liebevoll und einfühlsam damit umgegangen, obwohl sie keinen Freiraum hat, mich in meinem „Frausein“ tatkräftig zu unterstützen. Für mich bedeutet das einerseits, dass ich mich und meine inzwischen beeindruckende Menge an Kleidung nicht verstecken muss, andererseits kann ich als Frau nur dann vollständig sein, wenn sie nicht zu Hause ist. Schade, aber da sie mir sehr wichtig ist, habe ich es so akzeptiert.

From the very beginning I have been very ambitious to learn in the shortest possible time everything that a woman learns over the years: make-up, clothes, movements….etc. What time did I spend practicing techniques, finding makeup for my face type. The wig that fits my type and my face alone took 1.5 years. But it was worth it! In the meantime, a lot has become routine, I've become more confident in my choice of clothes and shoes and I'm really happy when Josephine looks at me in the mirror.

Von Anfang an hatte ich den großen Ehrgeiz, in möglichst kurzer Zeit alles zu lernen, was eine Frau im Laufe der Jahre lernt: Make-up, Kleidung, Bewegungen … usw. Wie viel Zeit habe ich damit verbracht, Techniken zu üben und Make-up für meinen Gesichtstyp zu finden? Allein die Suche nach einer Perücke, die zu meinem Typ und meinem Gesicht passt, hat 1,5 Jahre gedauert. Aber das war es wert! Mittlerweile ist vieles zur Routine geworden, ich bin selbstbewusster in meiner Kleider- und Schuhwahl geworden und freue mich riesig, wenn Josephine mich im Spiegel ansieht.

so sollte es auf respektvolle und geschmackvolle Weise geschehen.

Josephine Kristin has changed. After years of relatively consistent hairstyles, my new hairstyle with long, blonde, slightly wavy hair and wearing glasses has changed my appearance quite a bit. Who would have thought? I'm very happy, and judging by the comments, it was a good decision.

Josephine Kristin hat sich verändert. Nach Jahren relativ gleichbleibender Frisuren hat sich durch die neue Frisur mit blonden, langen und leicht gewellten Haaren und dem Tragen meiner Brille mein Aussehen doch ganz schön verändert. Wer hätte das gedacht. Ich bin sehr zufrieden und den Kommentaren nach zu urteilen, war das eine gute Entscheidung.
