Street photographer mainly inspired by Saul Leiter.
Other influences: Jay Maisel, Henri Huet, the movie "The Bladerunner", Sergio Leone/Tonino Delli Colli and German Expressionist Painters.
Originally I am German and I work as a family doctor for United Family Hospitals in Guangzhou, China since 2012. Previously I worked for years in Vietnam, Uzbekistan and Vanuatu.
My photography is very subjective and tells about my life as the longterm expat, the foreigner, the alien. Strangeness, how it feels to be strangers, is the main topic which I am exploring. While strangeness has disturbing and stressful sides I experience it mostly as phascinating and strangeness can even be a very comfortable position
One last point: I am really not interested in nature photography and do not follow streams of such pictures. No disrespect intended
