My primary compassion in astronomy is observing and imaging supernovae. From 2010 to 2015 I was the primary searcher for supernovae through CRTS SNHunt nesssi.cacr.caltech.edu/catalina/current.html. Drake, A.J. et al. First Results from the Catalina Real-time Transient Survey, 2009, ApJ, 696, 870. During that time, I discovered or co-discovered 119 supernovae that were confirmed with a spectrum, over 120 other transients which were probable supernovae though a few may have been supernova imposters, and three confirmed supernova imposters . Additionally, a number of variable stars within our Milky Way were discovered.

 

Due to security issues, my first flickr account which I had from 2007 to 2016 and was a pro account had to be deleted. This, unfortunately, created a number of dead links from astronomy sites and publications that pointed to my images. The website most affected is David Bishop's supernova site www.rochesterastronomy.org/snimages/.

 

I created a new account to accommodate my images and have not uploaded all that were once on the previous account. In late 2023 into 2024 I reloaded a number of images of supernovae though not every one imaged or if there were multiple images of a supernova were loaded.

 

In general, unless otherwise specified, I try to oriented astronomical images that were taken through telescopes with North up and East to the left.

CBAT TOCP from 2011 to present www.cbat.eps.harvard.edu/unconf/tocp.html From 2011 through 2016 this was where supernovae suspects were to be posted. Once confirmed as a supernova it would be moved to the CBAT list of supernovae. There are objects on this list that were most likely supernovae, including a number of my discoveries through CRTS SNHunt. After 2016, most objects listed are likely Milky Way variables, though some are external galaxy novae.
