Update : Next Festival 13-14 July 2019

Photos from the Annual Loch Fyne Viking Festival. This years festival took place July 6-9th 2017 and saw raids on Inveraray, Lochgilphead, Tarbert and Portavadie carried out by the Longships Freydis & Black Eagle. Each raid features a wide range of free viking themed events including battle re-enactments, archery demonstrations, historic village, arts, crafts, music and general fun. The Tarbert raid also includes the re-enactment of viking king Magnus Barefoot's 1093 portage of a Viking longship in his successful bid to claim Kintyre as an 'island' and part of his Kingdom.
