Thank you for viewing my profile! As you can see, I’m an amateur and still very much a beginner photographer, so I appreciate all the comments and suggestions. I’m still learning a lot just from admiring brilliant shots posted by many talented Flickr users (at this point I am definitely a Flickr addict…).

For most of my life, I’d never owned anything but a poor quality smartphone camera and was rather shy about taking photos. What first motivated me to become interested in photography was my growing collection of (mostly) Asian dolls. Owning these tiny beauties without being able to capture their charm in photos seemed wasteful! Having taken the plunge, I soon realized that doll photography is a wonderful storytelling tool that can breathe some life into these lovely but still inanimate pieces of artwork. Lately, I have discovered that I also enjoy taking close-up shots of plants (Never thought that a regular garden can be so inspiring! :). This ultimately motivated me to become more diligent about photo editing, which grew to be one of my favorite pastimes.
