I consider myself a hobbyist photographer with an emphasis on wildlife and landscapes. I'm self taught, learning mostly from the internet, other photographers, and attending a couple of workshops. I bought my first DSLR in 2010 in preparation for my first trip to Yellowstone. i can't even tell you how many photos I took on that particular trip. I do know it was a bunch, and many of them were awful. I look back at them now and it's quite obvious how far I've come. I love looking at other photographers work and often ask them questions on the gear and settings used on their photos. I do 99% of my post processing and editing in Lightroom. I recently retired from the "getting paid to go to work" world and look forward to traveling and photographing new and exciting places in this great country of ours.
