In October 2018, I made a trip to India where I was invited to a traditional Indian wedding. In terms of photography equipment, I had my smartphone and a Samsung Gear 360 camera. I was terribly disappointed by the photos I took, which gave me the idea to start doing photography more seriously.

I travel alone most of the time and photography seems like an ideal activity to add purpose to travelling.

In my day job, I'm a technical writer, and have been enjoying image processing with Adobe Photoshop for the last 20 years on a regular basis. I see post-processing as a step in the photo creation flow as important as the shooting itself. Knowing about the possibilities in post-processing influences the way I shoot photos.
