My name is Luzie and I come from Germany. I have a passion for illustration, animation, photography, and filmmaking. I have also just finished my Bachelor's degree in Media and Communication Studies. At the moment I am working as a journalist for a community radio station in Halle (Saale). My studies were very theoretical and all about media management, marketing, theorists and analysis. During the last years, in which I have spent a lot of time reading in libraries, I have realised how much I want to become a professional media artist.

I have always been creative and drawing a lot. I have started taking photos when I was 14 and since then tried to develop my photographic style. The biggest influence on me was my Erasmus year, which I have spent in Plymouth (UK) studying Media Arts at Plymouth University. For the first time I had the possibility to be creative, almost non-stop. I learnt the basics of analogue photography, animation and during a team work task I had to plan and finally conduct a live TV-show. My time in Plymouth had once again shown me how much I need to work creatively in the field of media arts because this is what I am good at and what makes me happy.
