Lived my first sixty years in the Los Angeles County area. Did six years with the CA ANG as a jet engine mechanic, working on C-130s. Worked for forty years in the hobby industry doing retail, wholesale, import and export. Was able to put my personal interest of military history, aviation and scale modeling to use in my work. Went to most airshows and air races in the SoCal area from early '70s to early '80s, shooting slides with my Minolta XK 35mm. Joined the digital age of photography in 2009 for a trip to Finland. Retired and moved to Oregon in 2013. Now with time to travel, I have rediscovered my interest in photography. My old photo buddy got me started on Flickr in 2016 which I am finding to be very addictive. Enjoying not only shooting and posting current events but also scanning and preserving my old slides from the pre-digital age. I find a lot of the work posted on Flickr to be inspirational and levels that I continue to strive for. Joined the mirrorless club for the 2025 airshow season.
