I took up photography about 6 years ago after hubby bought me a Sony DSLR for Christmas! I've always loved photography, looking at exhibitions etc but bringing up two girls on my own meant that money went elsewhere and cameras were a distant dream. Getting the DSLR for Christmas set me on the start of a journey that I love with a passion. Once I had a camera I wanted to join a camera club to learn as much as I could and to be with people of a like mind so I joined Abergavenny Camera Club in the January. Made good friends and learned a lot over the past six years and still learning every time I pick up my camera.
