Welcome.

I am a landscape photographer from the north west of England, based in Cumbria. A stones through from one of the most picturesque places in the world! the lake district. this fantastic scenery is well documented in my online portfolios, you will also find plenty of work from other locations further afield. such as the amazing Glencoe and the isle of Skye in Scotland, to venturing further south to Anglesey and Snowdonia, a bit closer to where i was born.South Wales. (not that youd be able to tell by my very northern accent).

Ive been fortunate enough to have several images published in photographic magazines, one being a portfolio feature in the digital slr photography magazine.ive also had an image of the infamous lone tree of buttermere make it into the countryfile calendar 2017. Last but not least is my biggest achievement so far, which is my image from buttermere was highly commended and published in the lpoty 2017 book, something im very proud of.

The kind of images i create are usually full of atmosphere and drama, capturing angry skies or mysterious fog rolling in is something that really does get me excited. dont get me wrong, a bright vivid sunrise or sunset is superb and id grasp it with both hands if it was in front of me but i wouldnt let the lack of light or colour put me off taking images in terrible weather, infact its took 4 years of trying to pinpoint what i want to document and capture what really does strike a nerve with me. sunrises and sunsets are not the main focus. atmosphere, mood and drama are. All the missed opportunities because of the lack of colour or light just seems like a huge waste.

So Hopefully my work showcases what the uk and the lake district in particular is like most of the time.
