Water4Life Mozambique is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) charitable organization. Our passion is drilling water wells that provide clean, safe drinking water to remote villages in northern Mozambique, Africa founded by Arnie and Joann Eastburn.

Why we started Water4Life Mozambique…Businessman Arnie Eastburn and career missionary Rev. Orai Lehman had worked together for Mozambique since 2001. Arnie led mission teams from the U.S. and Orai (missionary in Africa for 40 years) guided their work in the country. When Orai retired, both men felt like their work in Mozambique was not done. Additionally, both had a passion to meet the needs of the whole person, both spiritual and physical. Prayerfully seeking God’s guidance, Orai traveled to the people of northern Mozambique and asked, “What is your greatest need?” Resoundingly, they replied: “We need clean water.”

In 2014, we applied and received the status of non-profit 501c3. Then, we contacted highly respected individuals that we knew, and put together a distinguished Board of Directors to be a part of Passion4Missions, Inc. Initially, Passion4Missions, Inc. was the name of our organization and Water4Life Mozambique was one of the five projects: 1. Support for bible school students 2. Building church buildings 3. Leadership development 4. Church planting pastor support 5. Water4Life Mozambique Early 2016, we decided to change our non-profit’s name to Water4Life Mozambique, with Officers and the Board of Directors believing that the new name better represented who we are and what we do. We still have the other four projects, but they now come under Water4Life Mozambique.

How we choose the sites for the wells we drill that bring hope, health and change lives! Raul Diole, our field manager, is a pastor and District Superintendent of the Zambezi Province in northern Mozambique. He has many requests from villages that need water. He goes through the application process with them. The application asks for information, including how far they are to the closest clean water source. Diole sends those applications to Vice President of Projects, Orai Lehman. He presents to the applications to Board of Directors members on the Well Projects Committee who approves them if they meet the criteria. When funds from donations are available, we drill the approved wells.
