Hello, my name is Morgan Genser. I have been a photographer in one form or another for the past 15 years. Formally I worked at a small weekly newspaper in Santa Monica, California "The Santa Monica Mirror". I love photojournalism but just about everyone knows that newsprint is dying and I am looking at other areas of photography where I could make a living. The experience with the newspaper I feel helps me when I do portrait photography as it makes me think on my feet to create split second decisions,

I have experience with many forms of photography other then photojournalism ,as you will see by my work on display here and also on my own website "www.morgangenser.com". I currently have four Nikon digital SLR's along with several pro-quality lenses. I have a small, but very functional studio, in which I work out of. I can also travel to you as I have some portable flash gear and I know how to make my non-studio flash equipment work outside in ways to create beautiful photos.

When I started down the road of photography 15 years ago when I picked up my Fathers Nikon, digital was still in it's infancy which required me to to use film. This taught me how to create the best possible photos in camera with manual adjustments, not with the use of digital enhancements, such as putting the camera in program mode and then editing the image in Photoshop to make it something it wasn't. I feel that having this knowledge, along with the advances in camera technology has brought, my skill level in portrait photography among the very best.
