Now retired after a life in rail. Originally with New Zealand Railways and then 43 years with Victorian Railways and its privatised successors (M>Train, Connex and Metro) in Australia.

The earlier photos are restored from slides or black and white negatives. I try to ensure the colours presented here are reasonable before posting. Not all colour slides/negatives can be restored to a reasonable standard and these are quite often turned into black & white prints which keeps them to a viewable standard.

Later photos have been taken with various digital cameras or phones.
