I started to take photography more seriously in 2012, when a friend impressed me with his superb family portrait shots. So, I took the easy route, Sony had released their compact system cameras and I bought the NEX 5, incredibly easy to use, and a great introduction into DSLR photography. Since then, I have read a couple of books, upgraded my equipment to the Sony A7M2, bought a couple of lenses, flash kits and modifiers been out and practised, and practised, and practised some more, hopefully one day I will produce work the same standard as I see on here.

I'm lucky enough to live in the North East of England, where we have an amazing and varied coastline, as well as interesting old castles and structures relatively nearby, but I'm often just in the garden attempting plant macros!
