Like most here, I'm an enthusiastic photographer. I have little gear, but what I do have I love and it suits what I am trying to capture.

I live in North East England with the Northumberland National Park as my back yard, but I love to travel. For the past couple of years I have re-ignited my passion for photography and look at anything these days as if through a lens.

I prefer mostly working in black and white as I look for the more dramatic imagery, or suggestive type - favouring to not work with depth of field, though I am learning the qualities of this with landscape being a favourite of mine. I do love street photography and things that are a bit gritty.

A friend directed me here and I'm pretty pleased I joined up...

I use very little gear - preferring to travel light. I have had this setup for a couple of years now and love it.

I love to travel - anywhere and often do, having a light setup without the need to figure out what lense to take is perfect - my kit is always ready to go.

My gear is:

Body:

Olympus OM-D EM10 Mk1 Micro 4/3

Lenses:

1. Olympus M.Zuiko 14-42 on this I have Hoya filters: 37mm UV(0) and a CIR-PL

2. Olympus M.Zuiko 40-150 on this I have Ziekos 58mm ND8 and a Ziekos 58mm CPL

3. Olympus M.Zuiko 9mm wide angle. I have modified this lens case with a permanently attached 55-58mm ring so I can use standard 58mm filters so as not to affect the wide angle. I have a Ziekos 58mm ND4 filter almost always on... making this lens very versatile now.

Tripod:

I invested in an excellent Koolehaoda tripod, a same make mono pod - handheld and a mini tripod with bendy legs.

I see no reason to upgrade this setup... but I am interested in the EM-1.

Smartphone:

Samsung S7-edge. I have had many smartphones and really enjoying the images taken with this.
