I'm using Flickr as a way to display my photos, many taken when I was an upper teen and in my low 20's. So, that was back in the 1970's. I took a lot of railroad activity pictures, then, and occasionally, even now. The average person thinks little about the rail industry, so it is a 'hidden' world, to a degree. However, it is an important and efficient mover of material, both raw and finished goods. So. I hope you enjoy my photos, and hopefully I can continue to add to my collection, as we go along. I have lived in central CT my whole life, so most of the photos are somewhere in New England. Springfield, MA was often the jumping off point for a lot of railfan adventures, back in those days.

I used two 35mm Canon FTb's, one of the last non-automatic cameras that Canon made. Besides the normal 55m lens, I also had a Canon 135mm, and a Vivitar 300mm and shot almost exclusively both Kodachrome 25 and 64, slide film.

Any modern photos taken were just with my trusty Samsung S6 cell phone. And, the camera takes pretty darn good photos, and leaves some room to do some cropping without losing much clarity. I will be getting an SLR, in the near future.
