Amateur photographer living in Somerset.

I don't have a style or a subject, although I do have a passion for boats, aircraft and steam traction engines.

My first SLR was an Olympus OM-1. Why Olympus? a colleague of mine had one and it was just the coolest thing I’d ever seen. An OM-2 followed some years later leading to a less than successful introduction to the digital world with an Olympus compact.

For my first DSLR I switched to Canon. Partly because for me, the 400D was the first truly affordable DSLR, and partly because although I loved my OMs, I had always harboured a desire for a white “L” lens.

I finally realised that ambition when I bought my 70-200 f4l.

In 2018 I bought a scanner as I still have a box full of old airshow 35mm slides and negatives. It's proving to be a rewarding, if frustrating, task.

Thank you to all who have viewed, faved, and commented on my photos, it is very much appreciated.
