Although the choir is 125 years old, it still entertains in its music performances at the highest level both at home and abroad, annually raising thousands of pounds for deserving charities.

As it's name suggests it hails from the village of Dunvant (Dyfnant in Welsh describes the Deep Brook that runs through the village), some five miles to the west of Swansea in South Wales, UK.

The choir has nominally 80 choristers, and regularly gives concerts in Wales and England, and sometimes in Scotland, Ireland and further abroad.

The choir has had a 50 year friendship with "Sangervereinigung 1866" from Essen Burgaltendorf.
