Hello I'm Peter Halma an amateur photographer from the Netherlands. I started shooting around 2000, I always loved taking pictures with a simple compact camera but had never taken it seriously untill at some point I decided to try the old analog SLR camera (a Praktika) I had lying around for years. I made a first test film and when I rewound it for developing the camera broke down unrepairably. At that point I signed up for a basic photocourse and bought my first "real" camera (a Canon EOS500n). After that I started shooting more and joined a local camera club. I loved being able to show my shots to other enthusiast and receive constructive critisism on my results and that realy improved my photography.

I love shooting landscapes with windmills and boats as my favorite subjects although I've grown a liking for old rusty / abandonned vehicles as well. I mainly shoot with a wide angle lens and right now I'm experimenting with long exposure shots a form of photography I realy like but don't have a lot of experience with.
