The world around us is an amazing place - you just need to open your eyes to 'see' what is there. I have learned to look .. and then look again. Sunsets and sunrises are 'given' to us to photograph, the rest you have to 'discover' - and it is this discovery that excites me. I have become drawn to composition, juxtaposition, texture, colours, shadows and reflections. When I recognise these in the world around me I can become totally absorbed in my photography (ask my long suffering wife!), and I 'work' the scene, trying lots of different compositions and settings (I always shoot in manual - often with AUTO ISO).
I am old-school with my editing - ACR and Photoshop with a few Topaz plugins. It serves me very well. I love editing - I feel like I am taking my photograph, and creating art. I know my edits are not to everyone's liking - but that is fine, I am delighted that you have taken the time to look, appreciate and formed an opinion - thank you.
