I am retired from the aviation industry (Airport inspector/safety auditor) and live in Perth Western Australia. Photography has been an interest since a child, using a ubiquitous Kodak Brownie and subsequently an Halina 35mm. I have moved through film SLR to compact digital and Canon EOS 70D. Have now migrated to Nikon with a mirrorless Z50 with kit lenses and Sigma 100-400. So much lighter than the Canon.

My main topical interests are Landscapes and birds, animals and flowers, (mostly in a natural setting if possible). Seascapes and architecture also provide a significant attraction. I can seldom pass an unusual bridge without attempting to photograph it.

Flickr is a wonderful means of observing other people’s photos and sharing my own, which gives me great pleasure. I am often in awe of so many of the scenes captured by many of the Flickr contributors and their technical competence.
