I'm self taught and still learning. I live in Toronto, Canada and I take pictures mainly for my own enjoyment. The moods and impressions relate to my own. I aim to capture a moment in time that I find interesting - anything from a pretty flower to old trucks rusting away to a beautiful sunrise. I usually have several ongoing themes or particular interests swirling around in my head so I'm always on the lookout for scenes to fit them. For example I find old buildings and old vehicles quite fascinating. Street scenes and country escapes also figure prominently in my mind's eye.

As for photo manipulation, the extent of alteration in my photos is generally minimal but sometimes I want to push things a bit or maybe quite a bit. It just depends. I do like to pop reality a bit. I think this adds interest and drama and may make the image more memorable for the viewer.
