I am retired and live in Tauranga in the sunny Bay of Plenty, New Zealand and I have been interested in photography for as long as I can remember. One of my cameras was a polaroid, that was a lot of fun. I started learning how to take my camera off auto back in 2014 when I joined an online group where I felt very at home with my new family from all across the globe. I learnt many aspects of photography which quickly took me out of the point and shoot mode and into making my photography a lifelong passion. It is now my retirement hobby and yes, it is also my addiction apart from coffee.

My favourite genres are anything old (mostly houses and churches), macro, black and white, landscapes and fine art. Simplicity is my preferred way of shooting, taking out the clutter.

My newest camera is a Canon EOS R5 accompanied by the Canon Macro lens RF 100mm F/2.8 IS USM and the Canon RF14-35mm F/4L USM zoom lens.

I welcome any comments and please feel free to make any constructive suggestions. Sue.
