I started shooting from early childhood. But today I try to shoot only on "Pentax Asahi s2" film camera. It was bought by my grandpa in Japan in 1959-1961 years. So Pentax got to me when I grew up and I tried it just in 2012. During this time i gained a lot of experience of film photography! And I prefer it because of unpredictability, unusual and great atmosphere! So I hope you will enjoy of my photos!
Pentax film shooting - is a cool way to cheer up friends or girlfriend who want a photo shoot, because any photo taken on Pentax looks in the end unusual and atmospheric and always causes a reaction " wow"! But there are many moments that require practice and diligence. it is not so simple!
Usually I use Kodak Color Plus 200 because of it's availability. Also I have tried Fuji Color c200, Ektar 100, Ilford Pan 100, Ilford Pan 400, even expired film Agfacolor 100. But I can say that there is no difference between expired film and usual film, noir (black and white) film requires a practice a lot, I think, but if to be honest I don't like white and black film!
I don't develop film at home. I give my films in the photo studio located near my home, there they develop my films and make best quality scans! But I hope one day I will try to do it myself as a professional. And I don't retouching my photos, sometimes I just add some contrast.
In may 2015 I lost a film rewind lever. I replaced with similar thing. Of course it's not cool, but my camera has not ceased to be full!
I use Pentax Super-Takumar 1:2 f=55mm. It's good for making portraits also views. In 2015 I bought soviet wide angle lens Мир-1В 37mm f/2.8. So I use two lenses.
I also found scans of instructions for my camera from those times in internet. I can say that my camera is very rare and I think it's too hard to find it in Moscow or somewhere else. In russia filmlovers usually use Soviet Union camera Zenit of course. But I don't think that it is practical and it's just an analogue of current cameras!
