I'm Kate, the daughter of a dairyman. A Welshgirl born and bred.

I grew up on a dairy farm on the Welsh borders and was awoken every morning at 5am by the mooing of cows. After school I helped on the farm, I wanted to move away to a big city, to see the bright lights and be at the centre of life, the hurly burly, parties, meet new exciting people, it was a disaster, I felt so awkward and alone, I met a cool guy at a party, we both went away to Glasgow to study and I didn't enjoy the intimacy.

Feeling homesick I moved back to the farm and never returned his calls.

To randomly surprise him I hired a friend to take modelling shots of me that summer (2013) and I was going to send them day by day by email. Sadly he moved on and had a new girlfriend, once again I was nobody, a blanket of solitude following me everywhere.

I recently lived in a shared house in Cardiff, as a self employed seamstress. I buy retro and vintage dresses on EBay, renovate and jazz them up and sell for a profit, I also repair and renovate clothes. Currently I live in the Midlands doing a part time job as a post-woman, as well as repairing clothes.

I love my job, as I work, I listen to music all day especially; New York Dolls, Ramones,The Stooges, Roxy Music, David Bowie and The Smiths. Sometimes like a mad woman I like to dance around the flat in my pants- not a pretty sight.

I don't own a TV or rarely visit the cinema, I feel nervous amongst couples, so on the evening, I go on long walks through the city and read. I love traveling on buses-eavesdropping on people's conversations and looking at architecture.

As a special treat I visit the circus or county fair once a year. I don't have a plans or ambitions, what motivates me to sew, is there nothing else I would rather do. Sometimes I visit museums just before they close, to avoid the crowds and puzzle the staff.

I love talking about books, fashion, sex and music so feel free to unbridle yourself.

It's raining here from a slate grey sky and I'm drinking tea, watching the rivulets of rain run down the windowpane, amuse me, make me smile. Tell me a secret!
