Welcome to Elise’s Creekside Cards.

My name is Elise Legge. I was born and raised in Canada, (Vancouver, British Columbia). I lived there for about 30 years. I’ve been living on the Big Island of Hawaii for 6 years.

I’ve been working with the Iris Folding Technique for 11 years. Each of my hand-made cards is one of a kind. I use a variety of papers - including origami, gift wrap, patterned, plain and recycled – and the colors in each design vary.

The Iris Folding greeting card is made by cutting a shape then cutting, gluing and layering folded strips of colored paper into a pattern that, in the end, will create a design for the front of the card. It takes over an hour to complete the design on the front of one card.

I do not have all the cards in stock at any given time. The cards you see online are samples and I make them up with different colors and paper patterns. The cards will vary in color, depending what is in stock at the time of your order. For the perfect gift, you can frame one of my cards. They fit into a 5x7" frame.

The cards can be found on the Albums page above. Click on the category you would like to view. The card names are below the images of the cards. After you click on the folder, you need to click on the image to view the design by itself. I have some card designs that appear to be the same. They are a similar design with subtle differences, for example, the kimonos. How they are put together is slightly different. I love choosing different colors and papers for the designs.

The cost for a card is $5.00 per card plus tax. Hawaii tax presently is 4.5%. Once you have ordered the cards, I will email you the total cost of your order including the shipping. The mailing costs are dependent on what the post office charges.
