Two depots i remember Chester whilst visiting chester my friend and i were looking around the depot and D212 40012 in departmental ownership was on a balast next to the depot so camers at the ready we duely took pics then we were invited into the mess room for a cup of tea the driver of D212 was in the mess room he said he was responsible for painting the white window serrounds on it. thank you to the crew for the tea and hospitality.

The Next one was wigin springs branch whilst traveling around the contry on a two week all line rover and being able to move around at night my self and my friend thought we would walk down to the depot at arround 0100 hours when we arrived the depot supervisor thought we were mad walking down from the station as there had been a shooting the night before weather he took pitty on us or he was being kind he let us round in the fuling shed there were two class 40s ticking over i remember being deff for the next half and hour any way the kind supervisor gave us a lift in the works van back to the station theres probaly many more storys to tell about visiting depots but with out the kind permision of all those depot supervisors i would not have seen so many locos and multiple units. mike
