I'm a retired teacher/librarian living in Pinawa, Manitoba. I love to play baseball, curling, and golf, and I'm an avid amateur photographer. Although I believe photographers make the picture, it is important to have quality equipment that can capture as much digital information as possible. Unlike many, I also believe that post processing is an integral part of the creative process. Make the picture based on vision; manifest the vision with skillful post processing; share the vision with others.

To make pictures I use Nikon DSLRs, mainly D600, D750, & D7500 and the lenses are Nikkor 24-120mm, 80-200mm, 300mm, & 105mm macro. To process pictures I primarily use ON1 Photo Raw 2018, Adobe Camera Raw and Photoshop. I make pictures of my favourite sports, street people & events, landscapes, and candid portraiture.

Pictures that appeal to me must surprise, entertain, and/or teach me. Good art entertains while it instructs. I may not be a good artist, but I think I know good art when I see it.
