I've been a photographer since the 1970s working on a wide range of subjects from landscapes to portraits to gig photography. In the last few years, I have tried to find a new direction, often using my photographs as starting points for composite or abstract images which involve some digital manipulation and some hand drawing on a tablet. I find that there are frequently new ways to see or represent a mundane scene, often exploring detail in depth.This showcase also features observational photos which are straight from the camera.
