My name is Drake Velasco, I am 19 years old, and Origami has been part of my life for the past 10 years.

I see origami as part of my way of thinking, it has grown my mind to analyze, visualize, and create, inspiring me further to pursue a career of creating and designing as I plan to study Architecture in college.

Origami has been a gateway to bringing joy, mental stimulation, and just an overall challenge in not only my life, but the lives of those closest to me... Especially my family who has to deal with my hoardings of models around the house and mess of having paper across the floor.

I am excited to find inspiration in the amazing community of artists presented here on Flickr, and I hope to one day also be an inspiration as I learn to design and create my own models.
