I live in the Pacific Northwest. Mostly, I'm a singer/songwriter. But when I moved here from California last year, I also became a "birder". I live near Steigerwald Lake National Wildlife Refuge and began walking there. Right off the bat I met wildlife photographer, Ken Pitts. First he was helping me learn the birds by sight and sound.

Birding is addictive. Suddenly it was not enough to observe them with a pair of Nikon Monarch binoculars. I wanted to photograph them as well. So now Ken is helping me figure out my new camera, a Canon r5. With it I hope to capture the essence of my subjects, whether they be frogs or flowers.
