I live in very close proximity to Badlands National Park, which is located about 60 miles east of the beautiful Black Hills of South Dakota, USA. My partner and I own and operate Badlands Observatory, an astronomical observatory which he built in 2000 in order to conduct research with NASA's SpaceGuard program. In 2021 we opened the Observatory to the public for nightly stargazing tours using telescopes we set up on our observing deck. During the day we offer solar observing.
