Rebecca Bessette

As a self taught artist I began working with clay and beads. I started painting 13 years ago. I live and grew up on the west coast of British Columbia and have always been inspirated by the surrounding old growth cedar and pine, as well as the sky they lay upon.
My love affaire with paint started with my first portrait. Capturing emotions on canvas is challenging but when achieved it is timeless, evoking and can take your breath away. I find the same with painting trees, looming, strong, each one telling a different story, rooted in our memories.
When I Paint it is like waking up from a dream. I crave any bit of it's memory, just a flash, a glimpse, a taste of that lucid time. In this space I am no longer aware, my brush goes, mind blank, it is truely a luscious moment.

Great musician, artist, and person. Love you and your work, Rebecca. Always, ear and eye pleasing. Thanks for the happiness you have given me by being yourself. And of course, by sharing your gift of art. You have been blessed. No need to turn on the radio, cd , DVD, tv, or the old cassettes/albums. Anyone looking, now, please, enjoy Rebecca Bessette's works. Listen to her music, read and critique what you see and hear. If you have the money, invest in the beautiful stock, created by one of the great ones. Plus, you will learn about art and the tricks of a great, one more time GREAT ONE! I had to add more! Every time, I look, read and, hear, the works of Rebecca, I am taken into a "Dreamworld." I could easily be enticed to follow her thoughts as a child follows a consular. Though the forest to the mountains, and across the river to a place only an experienced guide would know. Rebecca is also, so sweet, like the scent of the honey suckles in spring, and the star gazer lilies in summer. She touches parts in me like no other. I am truly happy to been blessed to know the artist, the lady and the story. Every day I enjoy the knowledge of: "When I awaken, I have special moments to look forward to. Whether it is the song, the art work, the story and knowledge, or an acknowledgement, that my existence is of importance. I thank you Rebecca for being you." Enjoy people, the beautiful works of a person who truly deserves recognition, and will be acknowledged by the masses.
