TO THOSE WE LEFT BEHIND

 

To those we left behind that day,

 

We are sorry we couldn’t stay, but Sharky, Dozer & Turk called to us to please cross the Bridge and play.

 

Our time with you was special,

 

We jumped, climbed, ran and “stayed.”

 

Our youth stays with us always, please treasure us that way.

 

And now it’s time to love again.

 

A new boy will romp the terrain.

 

Hug and kiss him as you did us,

 

He’ll truly have it made.

 

And when you run a trial again, don’t fret for we’ll be there.

 

As Phoenix sits upon the table, we’ll be behind the sun’s sweet glare.
