I mostly photograph the nature around me, on our property and nearby countryside. I can pass many a pleasant hour looking for pictures of interesting bugs, plants, birds, etc., and then processing them in Lightroom and Topaz.

Aug 2022: The EF lenses just got too heavy to carry around and hold up, just got R7 and the RF 100-400mm lens, so light! Not L glass so may have to cure my pixel peeping habits.

Traded Canon EF 100-400mm 4.5-5.6 and Canon EF 300 mm f/4 on R7. Sold remaining DSLR gear July 2023.

Aug 2021: The years go by! I don't get to as much as I mean to these days, but I love following everyone, and hope to get out more and take more photos.

Aug 2019: Well, a year later, I have started taking some pictures again. I love to browse all the photographers I follow, and especially those with macro lenses because I recently got one, and am exploring its possibilities and challenges.

Aug 2018: For the past 18 months I have had some health issues, camera stayed in camera bag. Just got it out lately, I have missed it and Flickr. Fingers crossed.

Sept 2016: I scroll through Explore most days, with a cup of tea, a very pleasant part of my day. I fav some, and some I check out further. I like people who post their names and locations and camera information, and who say something about their photos, and of course I like their photos and think I could learn something from following them.

Comment when I joined in April 2016: In winter 2016 I took a photography course from a dog event photographer, thru the online dog training academy where I take classes. I knew nothing about my camera. First we ventured into the Manual settings, and then we ventured into RAW's and Lightroom. The instructor encouraged us to view lots of photos so I started following Flickr. Recently I decided to upload a few of my photos that I like. Hopefully over time I will see progress in my photos :-) I am a retiree in eastern Pennsylvania and my major hobby is training and showing my Icelandic Sheepdogs.
