I'm an occasional photographer, mainly (as is obvious) of landscape. I use a bridge camera in a simple way, concentrating on composition and trying to be out among the hills in interesting light. The photos I take which please me are the result of the quality of the scenery and lighting conditions rather than any technical ability or great effort to catch the "best" image.
I strongly dislike much modern landscape photography which appears to rely on excessive post-processing and over-saturation. I do very little processing other than straightening horizontals (the horizon or cloud base) and occasional cropping, and aim for a natural look which is true to the real landscape.
