i'm still pretty new to this whole photography thing. i started really getting interested about 3 years ago. I'm still at the 'point and shoot camera' phase.
For me its more about freedom. No one can tell me what to take a picture of. What angle to approach it at. Or whether or not it's up to their standards. It's all about expressing what i feel, whether that be sadness, joy or down right anger. Besides it being a release and my escape from this crazy society, i think it's all about preserving a certain moment in history. Once you press that button, that precise moment that is captured on film can never be captured again. And every time someone looks at the photograph or watches the video, that person is transported back to the time the button was pushed and becomes emerged in whatever the photographer/director intended the person to feel. That is why i take photos.
